§ 1.12.010. Application required—City manager duties.

    Any person wishing to conduct any activity or to maintain any condition which would cause a violation of any of the provisions of the Clovis City Code, or of any code adopted by reference by the Clovis City Code, or of any regulation imposed by a city board having rulemaking authority, shall not conduct such activity or maintain such condition without first making application for a variance from the applicable code or regulation, on a form prescribed by the city manager.

    B.

    If the variance application relates to land uses and is within the jurisdiction of the planning-zoning commission, the city manager shall direct the variance application to the planning-zoning commission. All other variances shall be directed to the city commission.
