§ 13.04.055. Special service fee.

A special service fee shall be charged in addition to the connection fees set forth in Sections 13.04.040 and 13.04.050 if the city has constructed or extended at city expense up to one hundred thousand dollars an addition to an interceptor or transfer main that makes sewer service available or that increases capacity for a definable area where service has not previously been available. The special service fee shall be computed by the city utility director in each case at the time of completion of the installation for the anticipated service area benefited, and shall bear a proportionate relationship with other benefited properties to the actual cost of the improvement made at city expense. Any benefited property owner may appeal the decision of the utility director to the city commission, whose decision will be final. The special service fee shall be paid at the time provided in Section 13.04.030.
