§ 8.04.150. Dead animal removal.

  • It is unlawful for any person to keep the carcass of any dead large animal, not slaughtered for consumption, within the city limits. Any person in charge of a large animal which dies within the city shall within eight hours from the death notify the city manager or the chief of police, or his assistant, stating his name and the location of the animal and kind of animal, together with the approximate hour of death. The person in charge of the dead animal may have the carcass removed by any licensed collector, otherwise the city will remove the same, or have it removed. The city, by any of its agents, shall have the right at all times to enter upon the premises for the purpose of such removal.
