§ 6.36.010. Imposed.

A.

The maximum penalty for any person convicted in the municipal court for a violation of this title shall be as follows:

1.

For the first offense, by a fine of one hundred twenty-five dollars.

2.

For a second offense, by a fine of two hundred fifty dollars.

3.

For a third and subsequent offense, by a fine of five hundred dollars.

B.

The penalties shall be reduced by eighty percent if:

1.

Proof of sterilization of the dog or cat is produced within thirty days after issuance of the citation.

2.

Proof by veterinarian that the animal is medically unsuited.

3.

Proof of sterilization within thirty days after the animal has reached the age of six months.
