§ 6.16.075. Domesticated pets.

  • Rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and other noncommercial domesticated pets may be kept within all residential zones providing there are no more than three animals, which must be of the same sex or neutered, and are permanently housed in a cage(s) that prevents their escape.

    A.

    Cages and secure enclosures shall be located at least five feet from the nearest property line, and must conform to zoning and building requirements.

    B.

    All housing, pens, cages or facilities shall be structurally sound, maintained in good repair, adequately spaced, weather proofed, ventilated, sufficiently shaded, and shall be kept clean, sanitary, and free from noxious odors.

    C.

    Animals shall be provided with clean, fresh, and sufficient water, wholesome and adequate food.
