§ 5.28.030. Certificate of public convenience and necessity required.

  • The safety and welfare of the public and the preservation and maintenance of the public streets require the regulation of common motor carriers to the extent provided in this chapter. No person shall be permitted to act as a common motor carrier within the city unless that person has a current certificate of public convenience and necessity issued by the state Corporation Commission pursuant to the provisions of Sections 64-27-1 through 64-27-81, both inclusive, New Mexico Statutes Annotated, 1953 Compilation, as now amended and as the same may be amended from time to time.
