§ 5.20.040. Conditions of purchase from minors.

  • The proprietor, owner or operator of any secondhand store or junk store operating and doing business within the city shall ascertain from the prospective seller of any goods, wares or merchandise to the store his age. If the prospective seller is under the age of eighteen years then the proprietor, owner or operator shall refuse to purchase the goods, wares or merchandise until the prospective seller produces written permission from his parents or guardian to sell the goods, wares or merchandise in question; and which statement further gives the age and full description of the seller.
