§ 3.18.140. Administration of lodgers' tax moneys collected.

  • The governing body shall administer the lodger' tax moneys collected. The mayor, with the consent of the city commission, shall appoint a five member advisory board that consists of two members who are owners or operators of lodgings subject to the occupancy tax within the municipality, two members who are owners or operators of industries located within the municipality, that primarily provide services or products to tourists and one member who is a resident of the municipality and represents the general public. The terms o f all members shall be two years. The mayor, with the consent of the city commission shall also appoint an ex-officio nonvoting commissioner designee to meet with the board and to participate in its assigned duties. The board shall meet at five-thirty p.m. at the assembly room at 300 North Connelly Street on the first Tuesday of January, April, July, and October, and that such other time(s) as designated by the chairman after due notice.
