§ 2.44.041. Recommendation of planning-zoning commission.

  • Prior to consideration of any preliminary plat or master plan, the planning-zoning commission shall send letters of notification by regular mail to the owners of property within the city located within one hundred feet of the property proposed for preliminary plat or master plan. In addition, the city staff shall post signs on the property at least one week prior to consideration, setting forth the type of action being requested and the date, time and location of the planning-zoning commission meeting. When the planning-zoning commission has completed all steps required by law, by this code and by its subdivision regulations, relating to a proposed preliminary plat or master plan of a new subdivision, within the planning and platting jurisdiction of the city, the planning-zoning commission shall submit such preliminary plat or master plan to the city commission with a written recommendation. Any member or members of the planning-zoning commission may submit a minority report to the city commission.
