§ 2.12.010. Qualifications—Oath of office required.

  • The city attorney shall at the time of his appointment, and during the term of his office be a resident and qualified elector of the city, admitted to the practice of law in the courts of highest original jurisdiction in a state, a member of the bar in good standing, and shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, subscribe to and take an oath to support the Constitution of the United States and the laws of the state, and to faithfully discharge the duties of his office to the best of his skill and ability.
