§ 17.80.211. Expanding minor nonconforming structures.

  • Rules for expanding a minor nonconforming structure or building are:

    A.

    The expansion shall be no more than twenty percent of the floor area, provided the expansion can be done within the setback lines. No expansion shall be permitted if the use is also a nonconforming use.

    B.

    Any elements of the use identified as a nuisance to adjoining properties shall be mitigated through additional buffering, landscaping, or relocation of doors, waste storage, or other problems with the use.
