§ 13.04.100. Service charges—Minimum amounts—Billing system.

    Findings. It is necessary that adequate rates, fees and charges be established and maintained for the services rendered by the sewer system of the city, in order that the city shall at all times receive sufficient revenues to pay operating and maintenance expenses of the system, and to furnish funds for capital improvements to the system. The city commission finds that the rates established by this section are reasonable and adequate.

    B.

    Rates Established. There are affixed and established for services rendered by the sewer system of the city, the following minimum charges:

    Effective April 1, 2009, for each connection to a main or lateral system to which not more than five outlets are attached, a minimum monthly charge of eight dollars and twenty-five cents. Effective April 1, 2010, for each connection to a main or lateral system to which not more than five outlets are attached, a minimum monthly charge of nine dollars and twenty-five cents.

    Effective April 1, 2009, for each drain or outlet to a sewer connection in excess of five, an additional charge of one dollar and sixty-five cents per month. Effective April 1, 2010, for each drain or outlet to a sewer connection in excess of five, an additional charge of one dollar and eighty-five cents per month.

    C.

    Miscellaneous. The city treasurer is authorized and directed to establish a cyclical billing system, and to bill the sewer charges established by this section on a quarterly basis, in advance. All sewer charges shall be payable at the office of the city treasurer. Nothing contained in this section shall be deemed to affect in any way the payment of the sewer connection fee established by the Clovis City Code.
