§ 10.08.060. Authority to enforce.

    The chief of inspections and/or his employees or his agent, or the chief of police and/or his employees, may enter upon private property for the purposes specified in this chapter to examine vehicles or parts thereof, obtain information as to the identity of vehicles and to remove or cause the removal of a vehicle or parts thereof declared to be a nuisance pursuant to this chapter. The municipal court of the city shall have the authority to issue all orders necessary to enforce such chapter.

    B.

    Tow companies will be selected by request for proposal (RFP) process through the purchasing department. Multiple companies may be selected. All tow fees will be paid by the city of Clovis to the selected tow companies. The city of Clovis will be responsible to recover the cost of the tow from the individual owning the vehicle. Tow fees will be determined outside the scope of the public regulation commissions statewide wrecker tariffs. Towing companies must comply with all other aspects of public regulation commission motor transportation rules.
